Roosters lose to Kooyong by 4 games! Crickey.

Desperate for a win and a place in team Rooster ex Captain Mark goes to Arizona but gets busted taking steroids
KOOYONG
an loss with honour
38-42 games their way. BUMMER!

Great work Dennis, Alan, Neale and Deano!

Lost by 4 games! Well done Roosters. Kooyong is a very strong team and this means we're a chance if

we can make the finals. We desperately need to put some wins on the board.

Match Report  by Neale
ROOSTERS v KOOYONG.

Up against the formidable powerhouse side of Kooyong
An undefeated combination against  a very very determined and well prepared bunch of 'foul cocks'
The mighty Albert Park "ROOSTERS" put in a fine competitive performance but failed to get across the line by only a couple of games.

Unfortunately, Dennis "The Golden Greek " had lost his shine on Saturday and was "The Folding MEEK" due to his knee, thigh and calf muscle injury's.
He was wrapped up in more blankets , doonas, bandages and supports than a Captain Snooze bedding factory.
However,...in  35degree heat, the sweat and toil that Dennis is known for took its toll.
But one could never question The Golden Greeks determination and desire to win.
Well done Dennis, you are indeed one of our "top cocks'

Dean on the other hand  who always plays to the highest level was still recovering from MASSIVE Bodily Malfunctions on Thursday night that almost
required  SES rescue from the Gentlemen's  lavatory. He only just survived but had to excuse himself from the rest of training to recover in time for Saturdays match.
The mens lavatory , as well as Deans backside are still seeking further repairs.
Sounded nasty Dean.!!!

Alan... was his usual style and grace and it's interesting to note he takes no sh**t from anybody.
His language and violent temper was completely out of order (but it 's a good thing he keeps it all this to himself. )
This is what makes him a winner.
Well done "big Al"... another Roosters 'top cock'

Neale... All day he just played with himself or within himself (you work it out)
and relied 99%  on his partner to do all the work.

Like Dean-o and the Golden Greek we won one match and lost one.
Trust the afternoon tea soothed your spirits lads. Nice beer.
Overall we lost on percentage.

The Beer in the clubhouse was probably the best ever.
Kooyong is a very very flash place.
The opposition were a good bunch of blokes.

All around a good day.. Very good standard of tennis.

Go Roosters for next week.!!!!

Next Week we have

Patterson Lakes at home and the team is:

after late changes -Dean, Vic, Al & Yuri

Beaurocratic Corner:

We have 9 players who have committed themselves to 6 matches each and at this stage we're on track for that to happen. This is the core group: Nosti, Dennis, Alan, Nick, Yuri, Deano, Mark, Vic and Neale.
If you cannot play it's best to swap with another core player and let the captain know in advance.
If you cancel with no swap a core player will be chosen as a replacement and at this stage you may be playing one less than your designated six. We have 3 Emergency players (-Bruce, Brian & Paul.) as fill ins (as in week 1) if no core players can play.

You must play 3 matches before the last 3 matched of the season to be eligible for the finals!
