Winter Comp 1st round, May 7, 2011. Shocker!
Well the opening round last weekend was a bit of a shocker, with the Team not getting any points. Although MCC fielded a strong side, to be beaten by a club that doesn’t play tennis as its primary sport is, well, not cricket. The APLTC committee is already putting together a “crush & humiliate” game plan for the return match on July 2 at home (where we know were the dodgy bounces are…).
Up this week are 2 ex Club Finals pairs; Nick & Yuri, Mark & Vic playing at home, so expectations are high for some points. Games start at 1pm so tell your friends and bring your Gran for a great day out…
Practice will be on again this Thursday from 8pm, weather permitting, so hopefully see you there/then.
Remember, you’re only as good as your last game, so make sure you win it!

Can any member train with the guys on Thursday night? Would love to get a good game of tennis on Thursday night. I am a member at Albert Park Lawn tennis just yet to know the protocol.

We've set aside Thursday nights for competition players to have a hit before the match on Saturday. However, there's also a social group that plays on Tuesday nigtht from about 6pm until 8:30pm that you're welcome to attend. :-)
