We evened the ledger last weekend and posted our first win of the season beating East Malvern team No.1 by 1 set.
Both teams won 2 rubbers, but we won an extra set which was enough to get us over the line on the day.
And what a perfect day to play tennis at the club. Great weather and lots of local support too. Thanks to Alan, Vic as well as Club Committee members Arnie, Michael & Peter for coming down to show their support – and also to other members who came down - Kevin, David and Jackie too !
Onto Rd 3 this coming weekend – it’s scheduled for Saturday 16th October from 1pm. We are playing away on Saturday against Kooyong Lawn TC (so it should be a nice afternoon tea).
The team has changed slightly from the revised schedule and is now Alan, Yuri, Bruce & Mark. It will be on the red porous so should be lots of rallies! (I cannot play as have a late arvo commitment).
