Crushing Mentone and we're in the top 4!

Welcome Back Roosters:

well after WINNING 4.0 in the last game of 2011 and WINNING on the weekend.

I believe we are now in the four!

Below is the ladder prior to Saturday's rubber. 



As you can see beating Mentone was a fantastic result and sets us up for a run into the finals. The bad news is we have to get over the top 2 teams in the next 2 weeks and we need our best to stand up.

Another Grand Victory on Saturday.
The Albert Park 'Roosters" rooting their way past the Mentone maybes

Yes it was hot
Damn Hot
Real Hot
So hot,
- even the Golden Greeks had lost their shine and faded in the first match against their number one pair.
33 degrees in the shade and 55 degrees out on centre court.
They had a marathon affair and battled heartily to a pair they probably should have beaten.
Bad luck guys.

It was up to Vic and myself the carry the side and we won convincingly 6-1, 6-2.
Vic playing well all over the court finding his range and hitting winners.
Apart with my traditional one double fault per game I did manage to hold my serve on each occasion.

Second match the Golden Greeks turned sh*t into Gold and won convincingly.
Straight sets
However...
Vic and myself however battled hard.
We started very well and won the first set 6-2.
Then it all changed.

Halfway through the second set in 85 degree temperature and in blazing sunshine
we noticed the Golden Greeks had wrapped up their match and were resting in the shade.

I think it was the quick vision of
Dennis...completely shirtless...!!! Nude from the waist up.
....was the thing that put us off our game... probably forever!!!!!!

Put The shirt back on we both cried.

We lost the next two sets after that.
Very very disappointing.
