Team: Bruce and Brian, Yuri and Alan

Warm up: Bruce smashes his ankle with his racket. Ankle balloons out -ouch! Soldiers on. Brian -forgets racket borrows Yuri’s spare. Alan 5 minutes late (for the first time in living memory) but it make little difference because we have a 20 minute rain delay before we start.

Conditions: Wet and improving, sunny periods but rain looks likely.

Game: Centenary Second Pair taken care of easily by BB and AY both 10-3

Centenary First pair AY beat 10-5 

BB have a closer rubber albeit dead and finish 10-8 with the last 20 minutes being played in serious driving rain.

The Digger B’s battled it out in the trenches a la WW1.Good stuff.

Wet, cold miserable but a win.

Result: 4 zip to the good guys.
