Who gives a ‘Toss’

A bunch of tossa’s we was.

and as you know it’s all about the ‘toss’

a good ‘Toss’ means you serve first and a loss on the “toss” will cost.

So the Yuri and I did the right thing and won our toss and we served first. We were up 3-1 at the first change going well. It was a good ‘Toss’

However, the Toss’s on the other court lost their toss (even with a doubled headed coin).-impossible.

Apparently the coin they used had the head of some Australian aboriginal tribal elder on one side and the Queens head on the other, so technically it was a doubled headed coin!!!!!!

and they still lost the toss.!!!

‘Bloody Toss’s!!!

Global warming - was another factor on Saturday. The proportion of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is set to break 400 parts per million this month, levels not seen in 3 million years, according to one of the best climate records available and that caused the wind to blow 150 to 200knots in a nor-north west direction for most of the afternoon.

Gail and Force were present

The courts were stripped bare of en-tou-cass. (how the “f” do you spell entooCAR!!!!)

The ball ‘Toss’ was going at right angles.

The courts were complete rubbish.

We lost the “f-ing’ toss

and I was having a bad hair day!!!

But we don’t make excuses.. None at all. It’s not in us to do that.

So lets just move on.

I could not work out why Bruce kept hitting the ball over the fence, and as you know the courts back on to the Caulfiel racecoure. Apparently  Bruce had money on races 5 and 6 and was simply checking on his investments on the track. Wish he had of waited until he finished serving.

Okay. seriously.

The boys did their best.

Dr Peter and Bruce did well in the first match only to go down 10-7...good result considering the conditions and good opposition. they had their A team in this week.

Myself and Yuri played some epic tennis and we held serve when we had to..which was fantastic.

Yuri down 0-40 on two occassions and got up to win both. Really really good effort.

We went down 10-7 only a couple of service breaks in the whole match.

Dumb and Dumber

The reverse match’s the ‘toss’s’ lost their toss and their nerve and went down 0-10. Yes a ‘Donut’

I think Bruce had all his money on the last and urgently needed to climb the fence to check the result.

Yuri and I had a fantastic match. very close all the way through. The scores didn’t lend themselves to the standard of tennis. I think we did tire towards the end and went down 5-10. Good effort against their number one pair.

We were at 3-3 when the boys next door were walking off court - having a donut for early afternoon tea

Tea and coffee excellent. Ramsey Leon Tony and Brent.. all a good bunch of guys.

Thanks to Dr Peter Keddy for your support..must of had nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon. 

Thanks anyway chaps, this Captain will now hand back the reins to next weeks Captino.
