Congratulations on the Roosters for being runners up in the Winter Comp for the second time in their short history. Trophy Night was a hoot and we have all players on deck for Summer. Yuri is the the only one who didn't step backwards and is captain again. Deano will play during the club champs and when he's down from Sydney. So all 10 players are on board again. No MCC or Kooyong this season so we're a chance to win one for our spiritual leader, best player and inaugural captain Nick.
Mornington, Black Rock, Mt Martha and Highett are all new to us so we're up to the challenge.

This Thursday the hit up start at 5pm with a hit against John Collins + his two boys who are over for his 80th birthday next weekend.
To Summer Competition Delegates:
Over the summer competition for teams playing Mens, Ladies & Mixed Rubbers, the Committee are going to trial the option of a 12 point tie-breaker, instead of a third set at one set all. Both Captains must agree to this option before the start of the match – if no agreement is reached, then a third set will be played at one set all for all rubbers.

Please confirm you are playing by Thursday practice.
Players playing must attend Thursday nights and ideally play a set for #1 pair bragging rights. Great if pairing can be worked out then.

If we have a chance of making the finals but we need help we play our "guns" at the end and you may be bumped. Apologies to Vic last year as he was dumped for prodigal son Deano at the end of last season.
At least one player who hasn't played a final plays in the finals every season.
This summer it will be Brian and next Winter it will be Vic.
Club Champs basically sort out the seedings so take them seriously.
Housekeeping:
Every week a match report has to be scribed by someone (please) as it's great for the other's to get an idea of what happened on the Saturday. Doesn't have to be good (just read Nils). A description & scores will do. Pics would be nice as well. Pls email to captain no later than 10am Monday morning.
