ROOSTER REPORT

We came, we saw, we were conquered.

Just a brief match report, as the Gump Media satellite is down.

Against our old foes, Parkdale, we went under 1-3.

Highlights? Just a few.

- Brian arrived late, having being held up by even more autograph-hunters than usual.

Instead of putting Parkdale's Number One Pair (Perry = New Guy Tom with big serve) on edge, it just gave 'em more time to warm up. They didn't need it. As BB and Neale soon discovered.

- Yuri and Forrest showed some fight to bounce back from first-set thumping to take the second set and push their opening match into third set. Possibly not such a good idea, considering warm and sunny conditions. It is possibly no coincidence that both pairs from that match looked very weary in the second rubbers as...

- Brian and Neale clicked into top gear and crushed their shell-shocked opponents 6-1 6-0. Great result. And a morale-booster.

So. Roosters were not disgraced. But Parkdale CAN be beaten when we get to the pointy end of the season.
