Trophy Night
ROOSTERS TROPHY NIGHT 2012
Congratulations Roosters for being runner's up for the second time in our short history.
Let's keep in mind our inaugural captain Nick has NEVER won a Gran Final so let's dedicate the Summer season to him and finally go one step further. We have no MCC this summer so we're in with a chance.
Dates for summer comp are:
October 6, 13, 20, 27,
November 10, 17, 24,
December 1, 8, 15,
February 2, 9, 16, 23,
with finals March 2, 16, 23.
The Awards this winter were for:
Captain's Award for
BEST TEAM MAN: Alan (a bottle of Champagne)
MOST IMPROVED: Brian (a bottle of Champagne)
The Wino Mino(r) Awards:
Best German: Nick
Most Aggreived: Vic
Best Excuse for Being Late: Brian
Most Bolshy again: Marc
Zero Award: Al
Best non shot: Nosti
Biggest Pop Star: Deano
Best Recycled Advise: Dennis
Worst Presidential Campaign: Yuri
Most Incomprehensible Blog: Neilll
We need 8 players on November 11th to represent significant figures in the anniversary of the Whitlam dismissal of 1975. Yuri is playing Bernie Field the senator who Bijelke Peterson replaced when Queenslander Vince Gair died. This gave Malcolm Fraser the numbers to block supply in the senate and cause a double dissolution triggering the tragic sacking of a legitimate government by an unelected head of state's unelected representative.
SHAME!
