Fellow Roosters. Well my first significant captain's decision on Saturday came at midday when I called Black Rock secretary and then BR Captain. Their courts were under water and both were sure that there was no chance of play for the day.

So we mutually cancelled and shared the points. Well done lads. We did not lose and have some more points in the kitty.

Now on to next match on November 5. This weekend's off for the cup.

We have Dean, Vic, Alan and Nosti v MENTONE at Home.

Practice is the usual 6.30 Thurs this week.

As promised Nosti will be shamed for non practice attendance last week. He's no longer the "golden" greek but looking through the periodic table at metals staring with "g" that are "precious" I've come up with Nosti -the Gallium Greek. Gallium of course is a metal that melts under very little pressure. When I can organise a donkey he will be made to ride it backwards and naked through the village -something very popular in the Ukraine I believe although the "shaming" bit is arbitrary.
