Poopdale Piss Poor Pedestrian Peter & Perry Parade Promptly Punished!

AND WHAT A WIN IT WAS

Our illustrious Captiano swans in from a two month fact finding mission to Europe and comes back with some some expert advice for us to take into our match against Parkdale.

I quote ” You’re playing him...and I’m playing with the other bloke”.

Brilliant Captancy I say....and it worked a treat.

A Very Sick First Pair

If only “Yuri” could have learnt from this..perhaps he still might be captain....or then again, perhaps not...!!!!!

MATCH REPORT ON SATURDAY. 

The Number one team of Brian Berry and Neale Jolly up against Parkdale number one team Perry and Barry.

It was a Jolly Berry Perry Barry match. and as far as some of the exchanges across the net goes. it was - 

Perry Berry Jolly Barry...or Barry Berry Perry Jolly...and so on...(Ya gotta feel for the stats man).

However Brian with 133 degree energy zapping influenza and Neale with his never ending Ross River fever/Pleurisy/ Chicken Pox and SNIFF-ill-us teamed up well to take control of a very hard fought match.

Neales serve was only 50-50 but worked well when counted. Brian was always consistant and we had a very good serve volley combination going and brilliant net play.

We took it up th Perry on each of his serves and as soon as we broke him.. his racket went flying and his language was just as interesting. He never won another serve after that.

When we were 40 love up and had 3 match points Neale let fly with a big winning backhand that went sailing across two postcodes. It took a while to retreive the ball but we knew we had the match.

It was up to Brians patientce to take out the match.....which he did Well done Brian, Mr reliable.

Boy oh boy were they pissed off to lose.

The other match on the ajoing court was far more interesting. At 8-9 with Allan to serve for the match things went array. Captain playing with ex-Captain. Captain calling the shots. Ex-captain not coping with current captain under pressure.... Wow Wee what drama...

We lose..... 9-10. Captain pissed off with captain...(was that himself or other Captain?)... it will be in the Captains report.

The return matches saw Brian in insipiration form and Jolly matching his every move and won 10-1.

We kept the pressure on as we had to win easily because at 2 wins all it was going to come down to games.

Captain and Captain did very well to get 5 games of the Perry Barry combination.

We came away with a moral boosting win buy at least half a dozen games.

Going into the finals we might be playing them again. So we expect a big effort.

Well done Yuri great stuff.. Allan (serving for the match...was it the tic-tacs that put you off)

and Brian played great tennis all day. It makes it easy playing with you when we play like that.

Knowing  we have beaten them they will be under big pressure next week.

Great effort Chaps and the Captain for such brilliant encouragement at the start of play.

He was at the local botox clinic getting a shot of flu vaccine.
