Men's Doubles Round 9

The Albert Park team is on the winners board from last weekend!

Our Rd 9 away clash against East Malvern TC was a success.

With 4 wins (all in straight sets) we took all the points. It was bloody hot work though and against the backdrop of club champs also happening over the weekend, it took its toll.

Several team members have played over 60 games in the 2 days (how’s the body feeling Alan?).

Many thanks to Kevin and Yuri who came along to support and big thanks to Brian Berry for filling in for Bruce.

We are still sitting in 5^th place, but are only 3 points off 4^th position and 5 points off 3^rd. Parkdale TC are on top. Click here for the ladder

Onto our final round for 2010 this weekend. We are playing at home at 1pm on Saturday 11^th December against Patterson Lakes TC. (currently in 3^rd place)

The Rd 10 team is Nick, Dennis, Nosti & Vic. At this stage Dennis with Nosti as the no.1 pair and Nick with Vic in the 2^nd pair spot.

Training in on again this Thursday evening for anyone that can make it.

After this weekend, we have a 7 week break until Saturday 5^th February 2011. We are looking forward to getting team member Paul Robinson playing in the team for some of the 2011 rounds.

I am away most of February 2011 on holiday, but returning for our Rd 14 clash.

So I will miss 3 rounds. Dennis (although he doesn’t know it yet), will be acting captain while I’m gone.
